Tia’s Adventure In Artistic World
Project: RPG Game
Role:Game/Character/Scene Designer
Create by:Blender,Unity3d,Procreate,Photoshop
This is a decryption game, where players will play as the protagonist Tia - a girl who loves art. She lives in an art library and has the ability to enter the world of art books. In the artistic world, she will meet artists from various eras and regions, and by solving puzzles, help them overcome difficulties or complete their works. Players can learn about these artists and their famous works while playing the game, achieving the purpose of combining education with entertainment.
Inspiration:
Protagonist: Tia
The image of Tia was derived from my personal Q-style avatar, which has served as my profile picture for the past decade. In addition, I aspire to assume the role of the game's protagonist and engage in a cross-temporal dialogue with renowned artists.
The source of my inspiration is the tenth lesson of the sixth-grade art textbook for the first semester, which provides an introduction to the artistic forms of realism and abstraction. It was my belief that by incorporating the author's biography and well-known works into student-favorite games, it would be possible to pique their interest in abstract painting and provide them with an opportunity to learn more about art while enjoying the game.

NPC:Henri Matisse

The appearance of Matisse in the image was derived from his later years, as it was during this time that he produced this particular work. Matisse, who was unable to stand due to illness, used scissors to draw during the increased time he spent in a wheelchair. As a result, I made his character in the game in accordance with his later appearance, which featured him in a wheelchair while barefoot and engaged in the task of paper cutting, while donning a woolen jacket and dark trousers. I animated the character as well.

Game Sence
Matisse created "The Sorrows of the King" in 1952 as a paper-cut artwork, which I have selected. There are many reasons for my choice. Firstly, it depicts a concert, a scene that can add more possibilities to the game and closely fit the storyline. Secondly, its rich colors and simple yet powerful character images can provide a better gaming experience for players. Ultimately, the stage decorations that the color blocks in the artwork's rear can be interpreted as have provided me with additional design inspiration.

I prefer a combination of modern and traditional elements when designing environments. Upon perusing an extensive collection of vintage household photographs, I discerned my artistic trajectory. By applying material nodes in Blender, I could impart a wooden texture to furniture such as tables, thereby intensifying the antiquated ambiance. Furthermore, in keeping with the Matisse theme of this scene, renowned Matisse artworks adorn the walls and table. The strewn paper, scissors, paints, and color pallet brushes on the table symbolize Matisse's artistic prowess and artistic methodology.

Other Level Ideas - Shooting Level
This level draws inspiration from the 1990s artist Pollock, renowned for his prowess in applying splatter paint to his paintings. As a consequence, I endowed the main character with a water cannon capable of annihilating the escaping ink creatures and bringing them back to paintings.

Other Level Ideas - Memory Level
The inspiration for this level comes from the famous abstract artist Mondrian's artworks. I have transformed his work 'Composition with Red, Yellow and Blue' into floating blocks. The game will give players 5-10 seconds to memorize the pattern below their feet, then all red, yellow, and blue colors will disappear. Then a random question will be generated, such as 'Step on all the red areas'. Players must find the red areas within 20 seconds to pass the level.
